Another scorcher today. It was 80 degrees when I took Chisos for a walk this morning … at 6:45 a.m.! It merely hit 99 degrees today, sparing us from yet another 100-degree day, although the heat index was clearly higher. We took time from our busy day — me packing for Yosemite and her dozing and playing with her toys — to get in a few rounds of boxing, one of her favorite playtime activities. She’ll jump up and use my leg for balance while she tries to bite, playfully, my fists. I use a fist so she won’t accidentally catch her teeth on any between-finger skin. Learned that lesson the hard way a couple months ago.
